Winners of the International Women’s Day Super Sprint

Dear Zainers,

We are so pleased to share the winners of the International Women’s Day Super Sprint!

On March 8, 2023, Zainers came together across our operations to learn a creativity technique entitled “Assume. Reverse. Transform.”.

Over the three-hour session, this technique was used to generate over 70 ideas! These ideas were all submitted on ZAINIAC and reviewed by The Vanguard of each OPCO. The team has selected 1 idea to be the winner of the super sprint from each OPCO. Below, you can see the winners.

The ideas that have been selected:

Zainiac IWD Winner

Wonder Women - Najlaa Alrumaih (Zain Group)

This idea revolves around two main aspects. Firstly, to increase the number of female applicants to Zain, we will launch a PR campaign highlighting the women currently succeeding here. The campaign will be posted on Zain’s socials to highlight the life of these amazing women and how they succeed both in their work life and their personal life. Second, the other key aspect of this idea is to create a program for new women employees to be mentored by established women at the organization. This will provide them with a key support element to help guide them through their careers.

Recreational Center for Women – Rita Freij (Zain Jordan)

This idea suggests creating a recreational center for working women at Zain. This center has multiple elements of health as it discusses mental, physical, and nutritional health.

Digital Literacy Campaign - Ashaway Lou / Kim Tir (Zain South Sudan)

This idea seeks to transform Women’s ideology in South Sudan to ensure that they believe that they have the ability to succeed at home as well as in their careers.

Education & Digital Literacy for Women - Rawia Salahldin / Dina Elgemri / Lubna Bakheit (Zain Sudan)

This idea aims to educate women in the region in all matters of technology to unlock the full potential of Sudanese women. The idea includes multiple elements including using the Future University Network team members and various E-learning platforms to further increase women’s access to education.

We believe these ideas will have a measurable impact on Zain. The Vanguard has committed to implementing these ideas and will be sharing updates on their status.
